TTArtisan Tilt-Shift 17mm f/4 ASPH. is a manual-focus ultra-wide-angle lens for full-frame sensors, equipped with tilt and shift mechanisms that allow you to control focus plane and perspective. By tilting the focus plane, you can either keep a wide range of a deep subject in focus, or deliberately narrow the in-focus area to create unique miniature-style photos and video. Using the shift function, perspective distortion can be reduced to keep buildings horizontal and vertical, making it ideal for architecture and panorama shooting.
With a large 64 mm image circle, the lens supports not only 35 mm full-frame cameras but also medium format cameras with a 44 × 33 mm sensor. Its optical design incorporates two large ASPH aspherical elements, effectively controlling distortion, chromatic aberration, and color fringing for clear, high-resolution rendering.
The tilt mechanism allows the lens to be tilted up to 8° to the left or right. By intentionally shifting the optical axis, you can freely control the area that appears in focus. Without excessively increasing depth of field, you can bring subjects from foreground to background into focus, or create miniature-style special effects. This greatly expands your creative options depending on the shape and arrangement of the subject.
Using the shift function, you can suppress perspective distortion and shoot with accurate composition while keeping buildings horizontal and vertical. It helps you create natural, well-balanced images in panorama and architectural photography, contributing to high-quality work.
The lens features a 360° rotation mechanism. Combined with the tilt and shift functions, this enables flexible control of composition and focus plane according to the subject and shooting scene. Click stops every 15° allow smooth and secure adjustment of the rotation angle, increasing creative freedom for both stills and video.
Note: The FUJIFILM GFX G-mount version does not have the rotation mechanism.
With an optical design including two large ASPH aspherical elements, the lens effectively suppresses distortion, chromatic aberration, and color fringing to deliver clear, high-resolution images. The 10-blade aperture produces beautiful 10-pointed sunstars when stopped down, enabling impressive light rendition in night scenes and backlit situations.
Thanks to its large 64 mm image circle, the lens supports not only 35 mm full-frame sensors but also 44 × 33 mm medium-format sensors.
The durable metal barrel is equipped with a clicked aperture ring for intuitive, comfortable operation.
