DESCRIPTION: FASHIONED OF A DOVE GREY SILK WITH A STAIN FINISH THAT IS BEAUTIFUL ENCASED IN A BLACK SILK CHANTILLY LACE WITH AN UNUSUAL FLORAL PATTERN.
EMBROIDERED BLACK NET IN MATCHING GREY THREAD TRIMS DOWN EACH SIDE OF THE FRONT AND ALL ALONG THE EDGE SKIRTING WITH TWO TONE GREY EMBROIDERED CORD AND MATCHING SILK PIPING EDGING.
SILK CROSS OVER DETAIL IN THE FRONT TRIMMED IN LACE ENCASED BUTTONS. THE HIGH COLLAR IS IN THE EMBROIDERY WITH SILK PIPING ALONG THE EDGE.
RUCHED SILK TRIMS IN TWO ROWS ON THE BOTTOM SLEEVE AS WELL AS AROUND THE WAISTLINE, HOOK AND EYE CLOSURE IN THE REAR WITH THE BODICE LINED IN A THIN COTTON, NO LABELS AS TO THE MAKER.
CONDITION: THERE ARE TWO SMALL OPENINGS TO THE LACE ON THE CENTER REAR BACK JUST BENEATH THE BELTING WITH A SEAM SEPARATION ON THE SLEEVE AND TWO HOLES OF OPENING IN THE LACE ON THE RIGHT SLEEVE AND AN ADDITIONAL ONE BENEATH THE UNDER ARM ON THE RIGHT SIDE.
ONE BUTTON IS MISSING THE LACE COVERING. THERE ARE SOME SMALL BROWN SPOT STAINS ON THE SILK AT THE CENTER FRONT, I HAVE MADE NO ATTEMPT TO CLEAN. IT COULD BE COVERED WITH A TRIM TO RESOLVE.
THERE IS SOME SPATTERED SPOTTING ON THE BOTTOM SKIRTING AS WELL THAT IS HIDDEN BY THE LEFT SIDE SKIRT.
THESE LAVISH TITIANIC ERA DRESSES ARE SO HARD TO COME BY.
