This is a vintage Russian lacquer box made in the USSR, hand-painted with a scene from Alexander Pushkin’s Eugene Onegin. Purchased in 1972 at the Field Museum Soviet Arts & Crafts Exhibit, this piece comes with its original museum receipt and exhibition brochure (brochure has tear at seam)
