Engine with flywheel, drive on all four axles, one axle has traction rings to increase traction power, LED headlights with automatic change with the direction of travel, coupling drawbar according to NEM 362 and short coupling mechanism. Model with digital decoder and digitally switchable sound and light functions and buffer capacitor for an uninterruptible power supply.
The Mercitalia Rail company is a freight division of the Italian State Railways (FS). The electric locomotives of the Bombardier Traxx family are also part of the Mercitalia vehicle fleet. Locomotives designated as E483 can only be used on the Italian DC rail network and are differentiated from other Traxx family locomotives by modified equipment on the roof.
