Vintage 1957 Artisan Doll Co. “Raving Beauty” 19” Hard
Plastic Walker Doll – Marked 200 – Complete with Dress & Hat
This is a lovely 19-inch hard plastic Raving Beauty
doll made in the mid-1950s by the Artisan Doll Company. She is a walker
doll, moving her head side-to-side when her legs are posed, and she has
strung arms. Under the wig edge at the nape of her neck, she is marked simply “200.”
She has reddish-blonde saran hair, styled in its
original curled updo, with some lift and old glue visible at the left side of
the wig line. Her hazel-green sleep eyes open and close properly and
still retain their original painted lower lashes. She has an open mouth
showing upper teeth and a painted tongue.
She is dressed in a charming 1950s-style green swing
dress with white trim, reminiscent of an Audrey Hepburn silhouette. The
matching green pillbox-style hat (found recently in a separate box) is
now reunited with the outfit. She also wears white cotton socks and white
leatherette snap shoes. She has her original white knit underpants
as well.

Overall condition is good for her age,
A very sweet mid-century hard plastic girl and a nice
example for display or restoration.
