A small conker brown leather box lined with silk originating from the Casa Guidi in Florence.
The Casa Guidi was the home of Robert & Elizabeth Browning in the 19th century.
It is now administered by the Landmark Trust.
The box is a mystery to me and I am unsure when it was made and why but it looks early 20th century. It is beautiful quality
The top has mythical Dolphins pressed into the leather.
The base has the lettering The Casa Guidi Florence
