Dr '' Touristhenexpress '' Set 4 OSHD type carriages, set 1/2 (WL + WL + WR + SD), Red Livrea, ep. IV
In 1956, the RDT travel agency introduced a night train on the connection between Dresden and Varna, on the Bulgarian coast of the Black Sea. On the initiative of the FDJ, in 1961 the night train "Touristhenexpress" was created (abbreviated "Tourex"), which since the summer of 1963 has been used as a special train for travel agencies.
The "Tourex" consisted of sleeping carriages and eating, as well as some special cars, which initially had a combination of blue colors with the "Tourist Express" writing. Subsequently, however, more and more Mitropa cars painted red were used.
Since the seventies, the "Tourex" also began the transport of wagons for the transport of DDM cars. The train started from Dresda-Neustadt and transported via Bad Schandau, Decin, Olomouc (or Brno), Sturovo, Szob, Budapest, Szolnok, Biharkeresztes, Episkopia Bihor, Cluj, Brasov, Bucharest, North and Ruse (or Negru Voda and Kardam) in Varna. Most of the time he has been led without scheduled stays. For trips to the city, however, there were also one -day stays in Budapest or other places along the way.
