1969 Press Photo Vladimir Tzibrow & Boris Samorodow ice race in Inzell, Germany
This is an original press photo. Thrills and chills. Inzell, Germany: Ice chips fly as Russians Vladimir Tzibrow (L) and Boris Samorodow skid through a turn on the 400-meter artificial ice rink during the World Ice Speedway Championships here recently. Following them into the turn is Czechoslovakia's Jaroslav Kachal. The bikes are equipped with spiked tires. Three Russians took the first places in the event, with G. Kadyrow bagging his fourth world title by winning all five runs of the final heat.Photo measures 10.25 x 8.25inches. Photo is dated 03-17-1969.
