Rare 19th Century Brass Reliquary Crucifix with Relics Relic Cross

A rare and devotional Catholic reliquary crucifix, made in Rome, Italy, around the early 1900s. This piece is made of brass with silver-tone panels and opens to reveal a hidden compartment containing relics (ex indumentis).
The back of the cross is stamped ROMA, confirming its Italian ecclesiastical origin. The body of Christ on the front is affixed in low relief, along with INRI and Passion emblems. A small screw at the base allows discreet access to the relics inside, a design common in pectoral crosses worn by priests, missionaries, and pilgrims.
