  • Authentic cast-brass construction – the crossbar and trefoil terminals are cast in one piece, then hand-riveted with three separate reliefs:

  • Bust of a haloed figure (often interpreted in Balkan iconography as St Longinus, the centurion at the Crucifixion, or occasionally St Mary Magdalene) at the foot of the cross

  • Radiant haloed Christ corpus with finely modelled anatomy

  • INRI scroll at the summit (stylised in Byzantine form)

  • Trefoil (clover) ends symbolise the Holy Trinity, a hallmark of both Orthodox and Gothic Catholic design.

  • Rear side shows the original four rivet heads – evidence of traditional workshop methods rather than modern mass production.

  • Warm, even golden patina gained through decades of devotional use – no harsh polishing that would strip its character.

  • Integral top ring makes it ready to hang on the wall or use in liturgical processions.
