Vtg Rare Wooden Oval Canteen Flask Keg Iron Banded 19-20th Century 6x6x3” READ.

Antique store find as found in eastern Tennessee, We know absolutely nothing about this flask canteen and neither did the antique store owner. It is inscribed on both sides and bottom with a name and dates. The writing on the one side is very hard to make out but with a little due diligence you might be able to figure it out. Not sure if the leather handle is original to piece as it is in fairly nice condition may have been added later, please look at all pictures carefully as it is part of the description.
