An antique English, solid 15 and 9 carat gold ring; with a halo of rose cut diamonds around a lustrous opal cabochon in silver settings. Appears to have had a piece marked 15ct inserted for sizing, the rest tests as 9ct or higher.

CONDITION: All original and very good. Some signs of wear commensurate with age and use. Old sizing evident. Needs a good clean.
DATE/MARKS: Around 1880/1900. Stamped '15ct'.
DIMENSIONS: Head 12.5 x 11 mm (1 inch = 25.4 mm). To give an impression of scale, the coin is 19 mm or ¾ of an inch diameter.
RING SIZE: O or 7 ¼ US (easily sized within reason).
WEIGHT: Approx. 3.9 grams.
