1966 Gilbert Batman Watch in working condition!! Original owner.

I have owned this watch since I was a little kid living in Southern California. I know I owned it prior to August 1968, but I can’t give an exact date of when I received it. It was something I wore quite often as a child, and there is wear that reflects that, as well as age. I was a huge fan of the TV show starring Adam West, and apparently I was going to marry him when I grew up. Well, either him or Jackie Gleason. 

The watch is in working condition! I wound it up, and it did work for a while. Watch the video I attached to see the red second hand do its thing. Some of the blue metallic paint has rubbed off the ridges of the bat’s wings, but the metallic numbers look shiny and bright. The strap is original, and it is in almost excellent condition. I am shocked how good the plastic “crystal” looks. There is minor scratches/scuffs which is a miracle considering how much I wore this watch as a 3-7 year old. I do not have any paperwork or original packaging. 

I cannot get a focused picture of writing on the back, but I included a blurry one anyway. It says,

I wish I could still wear this gem, but I suppose it needs to go to a collector that will ensure that it stays in good shape. I would be happy to answer any questions or send other photos if needed.
