DESCRIPTION: THIS PIECE WAS ACQUIRED FROM A MUSEUM DEACCESSION
SEWN BY HAND FULLY THROUGHOUT AND IS FASHIONED OF WHITE MUSLIN WITH A UTILITARIAN COTTON LINING.
NECKLINE IS SET WIDE WITH MUSLIN RUFFLES WITH A DRAPING POINT OVER THE FRONT CHEST.
PIPED SEAMS RUN DOWN THE FRONT WITH PIPED SEAMS ON THE ARM HOLE AND TOP OF THE RUCHED RUFFLE WITH RUFFLES ALL ALONG THE BOTTOM HAVING A LACE EDGING AND ARE SLIT ON THE BOTTOM EDGE.
HOOK AND EYES CLOSE THE REAR.
CONDITION: A LINEN TAPE RUNS AROUND THE SIDES OF THE BOTTOM, I AM NOT EXACTLY CERTAIN WHY. ONE OF THE HOOKS WAS REPLACED ON THE INTERIOR BOTTOM AS WELL AS ONE EYE WITH THE REST BEING THE ORIGINAL HAND HAMMERED BRASS.
THERE IS ONE ERASER SIZED THUMBPRINT OF A BROWN STAIN ON THE FRONT RIGHT SHOULDER JUST ASIDE THE SHOULDER PIPING.
