It contains both the Authorized King James Version and the Revised Version of the Old and New Testaments, arranged in parallel columns. This edition features a complete concordance, marginal references, chronological tables, a history of ancient biblical manuscripts, and numerous full-color illustrated presentation and reference pages.


The Bible is bound in an ornate Victorian-era embossed leather cover with gilt lettering and decorative medallion-style embossing. It was designed as a large family Bible, meant for display and recording family history. Inside, the presentation page shows a handwritten inscription to Mrs. A.J. Schooler from Mr. D.N. Schooler.

Condition:

This 133-year-old Bible shows age-appropriate wear. The leather cover has scuffing, edge wear, and binding separation at the spine. Interior pages have some foxing. The first few pages have tears, and chips, particularly at the edges, but the text remains clear and legible. Illustrated pages remain vibrant. In the middle of the book is the family history.
