A little more context - These were bought at the estate sale of N.J. Cope. He is a relative of the famous railroad photographer David H. Cope. Just google him and see some of his archived photos. N.J. was a photographer himself and also a collector of railroad photos that others had taken. He was always trading copies of his and David's photos to fill in his collection.
