Antique vintage German made Becker's Sons laboratory weight set, once used by the Bureau of Mines at Ohio State University in Columbus, Ohio. Housed in a well-crafted hardwood box with a red velvet-lined lid and multiple compartments, the set includes incomplete brass calibration weights (500g, 100g, 50g & 500mg) and cutouts for additional weights and tools (not included). The underside of the box is marked “Bureau of Mines, Columbus, Ohio, O.S.U.” - inside of box marked with impressed manufacturer marks for Becker's Son and Rotterdam

Good vintage condition with some wear from age and use. Velvet interior shows some fading and indentations. Hinges are loose & missing 1 screw - Brass weights have developed a rich patina. Four of the original weights are present; other components appear to be missing. Please refer to photos for details.
