This is a Beautiful compact size Rochester Camera Co. King, wood field camera. This very pretty, made in the USA, mahogany wood camera offers a double geared control focus allowing for approx.18” bellows extension and rear draw focusing ( making the front standard to ground glass) to approximately 4”, , a back that can be set in a horizontal or vertical position, front rise, front forward tilt (looks like a small screw on the rear of the standard can be removed if front rear tilt is desired) , rear track movement control, This camera has a bed that is approx. 7", front front bed to rear ground glass rear is approx. 11” when opened and 11” tall and is approx. 5 lbs (with out lens on board / just over 6 lb with the lens attached) making it great for travel as well. It appears that the back was nicely updated to accept 5x7 holders with a nice ground glass back too. This camera comes with a great Zeiss Tessar 6.5x8.5” f6.3 lens, lens board with lens mounting retaining ring and 2 - Fidelity 5x7 in holders (Fidelity Custom and Deluxe) too
This camera Set comes exactly as shown, in very pretty condition. The camera body has great looking wood with nice brass trim. The camera has great wood with great color, showing light rubs, a tiny trim piece off the front rail tip bottom, slight wood base around the tripod mount stressing (holds securely to a tripod). All movements work properly with good secure locks. One rear thumb screw looks to have been replaced with a brass nut that works with the camera. The bellows look good with no holes that I can see with a strong flashlight. The ground glass has no cracks and no chips showing some rubbing.
The Bausch and Lomb - Zeiss Tessar Series II B 6.5x8.5 lens is set into a Volute shutter offering 1/100 to 3 seconds, B & T. The shutter works at all speeds. The aperture works at all positions f6.3 - f45 becoming a bit unsymmetrical at the latter end with a design that can be used beyond f45 and slip to be fully closed. The glass is great with No scratches, No fungus, light dust, nice coatings.. This lens comes with a lens board that fits this camera and its retaining ring attached. A very well made red glove leather case in included that fits this lens with the lens board connected too.
Also included with this set are 2 - 5x7 fidelity film holders (one is a Fidelity Custom and the other is a Fidelity Deluxe). Each holder looks to be in very good condition showing light wear with No cracks and complete with their proper dark slides (a few cosmetic dark slide dimples and look light tight with no cracks) too.
