IBUS interface is most commonly used for IBUS-APP – the on-board computer application for Android.
IBUS interface is an IBUS to USB interface, it doesn’t offer any other features, but allows an USB device to be able to read and transmit digital telegrams on a LIN-BUS based network.

No drivers are usually needed, since almost all modern operating systems come with an pre-installed driver for the USB integrated circuit CP2102.

How to connect IBUS interface to your car:
You have to splice 3 wires of IBUS interface’s connector to your car’s wiring harness: 12V (DIR), GND (ground), IBUS/KBUS.
RED wire of IBUS interface to 12V DIR source in your car (red, red/white, red/green wire in your car).
BROWN wire of IBUS interface to GND (brown, brown-white, brown-white wire in your car wiring harness).
WHITE wire of iBUS interface to IBUS (white-gray with yellow dots) or KBUS (white-red wire with yellow dots).
IBUS is always a white wire with gray stripe and yellow dots.
Some Bimmers (like E46 as an example) are not equipped with IBUS, they have KBUS only, which is white wire with red stripe and yellow dots, so on E46, please connect the yellow wire of our interface to KBUS.
How to connect IBUS interface for IBUS-APP or Navcoder
Our IBUS interface has almost zero power consumption (0.2mA) in idle, so it won’t drain your battery.
What is the IBUS (or I-BUS)?
It is an one wire digital communication bus. IBUS, as well as any other digital communication bus, allows all of the connected electronic modules to communicate each other by sending and receiving digital telegrams.
