Product Overview – SafeTCap® ART-272-S
The ART-272-S is a heavy-duty replacement kit for the front upper control arm mounting brackets on 2001–2010 Silverado and Sierra 2500HD trucks. This weld-in kit includes four pieces total — two per side — to replace both the forward and rear mounting points of the upper control arms.
Each bracket is CNC cut from 7-gauge American steel and formed for a direct-fit repair that restores suspension geometry and structural integrity in rust-compromised areas.
🔧 Note: This is a weld-in kit. Control arm hardware not included.
Installation Notes:
To install:
Remove the rusted control arm bracket sections
Prep the frame by grinding to clean, bare metal
Position and weld in the SafeTCap® forward and rear bracket pieces on each side
Reinstall upper control arms and hardware
