Rare French Art Nouveau Edwardian Circa 1900 800 or 950 Silver Iris Photo Locket Brooch 🥀 Fully hallmarked on the pin C catch for French silver, however the pin itself appears to be made from steel (not silver). Usually the French silversmith created better than sterling silver of a 950 grade, but occasionally did create 800 silver, so this might be either. Weighs approximately ? grams. Approximately ? cm (?/16 of an inch) in width at its widest, and approximately ? cm (?/16 of an inch) in height form the highest edge to the lowest, and approximately ? mm (?/16 of an inch) in thickness from the surface of the silver iris theme frame the rear circular fence, excluding the C catch, pin, and pin connection. Very rare to find these with intact crystal glass cover and no missing parts ! Ideal for a love one particularly if her name is Iris !
