This is a Vintage Robert Mitchell & Co Brass Fire Starter with Pumice stone and under plate, Made in Canada around 1940.
This Tankard and underplate are in Good used condition with signs of age and use. There are pitted spots on the brass which may be able to clean up to a shine with brass cleaner if desired.
***NOTE*** The Pumice stone is split in two and someone has wired it together in place on the handle.
The Bottom is marked with the early "Mitchell Canada" maker's mark.
The Tankard is 6" tall by 4" in diameter and has a weighted bottom to prevent tipping. The pumice stone with "Ship" handle is 10 1/2" long. The Underplate is 7" in diameter. The Set weighs 4 LBS 12 OZ due to weighted base on tankard.
