1941 Press Photo German Troops Prepare for Attack from Foxholes, USSR

This is an original press photo. German Troops in Foxholes--USSR: Berlin sources describe these Nazi infantrymen as preparing for an attack on the Eastern Front from these foxholes in which they took cover. The smoke in the background was said to have been caused by an exploding shell. This picture was radioed to New York from Berlin; World War IIPhoto measures 6.5 x 8.5inches. Photo is dated 08-15-1941.
