Install the high - pressure fuel pump vertically to prevent any scratching of the cylinder head.

Screw in the screws at the relative positions evenly. Under no circumstances should you tighten one screw before moving on to the next.

Such an operation can cause excessive stress, leading to oil leakage. Once installed, run the engine for two to three minutes to check for oil leaks.

During installation, check and make certain that the camshaft is not in a position to trigger the cylindrical roller (plunger) of the high - pressure fuel pump.

If it is in the triggering position, adjust the camshaft to its deepest setting; otherwise, the installation will be affected.

When removing the high - pressure fuel pump, inspect the cylindrical roller (plunger). If it is damaged or worn, replace it without delay.
