1862 and 1863 U.S.Civil War fractional currency. This lot containing two different types of fractional currency, was printed by the Union as there was a shortage of coinage during the war. The lot offers ( 1 ) FR- 1243SP which was a proof type , first edition , 10 cent note, produced in 1862 and the second is ( 1 ) FR-1244, second issue, 10 cent note from 1863. The 1243SP is a scarce note, produced only as a first edition proof, that has no printing on the reverse. The 1244 was printed on both sides. Some staining on 1243 . Free shipping.
