Adjustable Return Outlets With Random Flow Nozzless For Fish Tanks Fits 25mm PVC PipeItem Description:This is a custom part designed by myself, being a fish tank owner, I produced this to solve the issues of having a standard 25mm PVC return pipe into my tank. My 3D printed adjustable dual return pipe friction fits onto a standard 25mm OD (Outside Diameter) PVC pipe allowing for splitting of the return water flow back into the tank. The addition of two injection moulded fully adjustable pipes in conjunction with random flow nozzles on each end provides for random flow within the tank. Each arm of the return pipe allows you to direct the return flow where it is needed for better health of the ecosystem. Key benefits of this modification are running higher flow rates through this dual nozzle and you can direct the flow helping prevent your sand bed from being blown around inside the tank. Designed for a friction fit on 25mm outside diameter PVC pipe, sanding of the PVC pipe may be required in some circumstances due to possible variations in some manufacturers pipe being over specified tolerances. Installation is simple just push this onto your 25mm PVC return pipe, this part is tight friction fit but can be glued if required. My 3D printed dual return pipe is the strongest available, printed using PLA+ this is several times tougher than standard PLA and PETG. Then each part is annealed, annealing plastic involves gently reheating the substance to a point above its glass transition temperature, but below its melting temperature, and then slowly allowing it to cool. Like the annealing of metal, this reheating and cooling increases the amount of crystalline structures in the plastic. Both of these things, in turn, makes the plastic stronger, stiffer and more resistant to the stresses that cause failure.
