This is an extremely fine quality antique sofa made from solid mahogany, with stunning beautiful floral inlays. It was manufactured in England in the late Victorian era, specifically around 1900. The sofa is a Sheraton revival style and features a beautiful kidney-shaped design. It has a seating capacity of two and measures approximately 37 inches in height, 44 inches in width, and 22 inches in depth. The seat depth is 17 1/2 inches. This is an original piece and is in excellent ready to use condition.
It has an old Sotheby’s auction label to the underside, having been sold by them around fifty years ago. It is also stamped to the frame “E28” , possibly a design number for renowned cabinet makers Edward & Roberts and it is certainly of the quality they were producing at the time.
Delivery is by specialist furniture courier with a 1-4 week window, but an average of just one week for England, Wales and most parts of Scotland at a cost of £85. Collection is also no problem at all from the Shrewsbury area. Please remember this is now around one hundred and twenty five years old and so will have some tiny marks and scratches etc from use- see pictures.
