Our Tracer Dye Set comes supplied with everything required to help you detect water based leaks in a wide range of applications including drains, guttering, water systems, pools (vinyl or concrete), radiators etc. The tracer dye is water based and is residue free, meaning it is suitable for detecting leaks in anything using water as the medium. Our tracer dye is highly concentrated and capable of detecting micro / hairline cracks!
Please note: These dyes are not suitable for detecting leaks in systems used for drinking water, however we do supply food grade leak detection dyes. Please contact us for further information. For oil based leaks, please see our oil based tracer dye.

30ml Liquid Tracer Dye (Aqueous Based - Fluorescent Yellow Colour)
Our tracer dyes are manufacturered at our UK site in Sheffield and contain no residue, co-solvents or hazardous material, meaning they are safe to be left in the system or can be rinsed out.
Usage
Coolant Systems :- The tracer dye is soluble in both coolant and antifreeze. It can be diluted and added directly into a cars coolant system. For the most effective detection, we recommend using 10ml of dye / 10 litres of host fluid. Switch the ignition on and leave for 10-20 minutes. Switch the engine off and use a UV torch to detect for the leak site.
Sinks / Drains :- Dilute 2ml of tracer dye in 1litre of water and pour down the drain. Use a UV torch to detect for the leak site.
Jacuzzi's and Pools:- Turn off the circulatory systems/pumps/skimmers/filters etc and allow the water to settle. Search the walls for any obvious cracks. Add the dye to a syringe or use our Pool Leak Detection Kit. Add a small amount of tracer dye to suspecting cracks, under water lights, drains etc. The dye being carried by the water will always take the path of least resistance and will appear to be 'sucked' into any cracks that are leaking, meaning that is a leak source.
