This publication presents the brightest page in the history of Ukrainian national costume, namely the costume of the Kievan Rus' era. The author Zinaida Vasina, a member of the National Union of Ukrainian Folklore Artists, an ethnographer, a scientist, and a researcher of Ukrainian historical costume, presents reconstructions of clothing from this golden age of Ukrainian history in all its diversity. The author not only describes the clothing of all strata of the contemporary society, but also supports it with her own illustrative material. Such a comprehensive presentation of the topic ensures the best visual perception of the clothing of this period by all age categories of our society. The significant informativeness of the material may be interesting for deepening further scientific knowledge of historical costume for artists, fashion designers, jewelers, in the theater and film industries. The costume of the Kievan Rus' era is an inexhaustible source of knowledge of our history, which at all stages of its formation was at the forefront of pan-European civilizational achievements.
