This is a Geneva watch with a blue face surrounded by gold, with a pale blue millefiori chips stretch band accented with stardust gold beads.  The watch face is 3/4 x 3/4 inches and has a second hand.  The watch band is 8 inches in diameter.  The watch has a stainless steel back and is water resistant, with Japanese movement.

Millefiori is Italian, meaning "thousand flowers."  Millefiori glass beads are created using different colors of glass rods bundled together to form a mosaic, then fused together.  Slices are cut off and melted over a glass core, giving the bead a 3-dimensional look.  A popular choice for festive jewelry.  The technique traces back to ancient Rome, Phoenicia and Alexandria, but was lost and only rediscovered in the 19th century.
