This is a Stunning and Desirable piece of Edwardian Gold and Gemstone Jewellery made by William Oakley Davies. Originally designed to go onto a Pocket Watch Chain it is an Oval Spinning Fob Medal in 9ct Rose Gold featuring a Piece of Dark Red Carnelian to one side and a piece of Dark Green Bloodstone to the other. It is Fully Hallmarked on the Edge with W.O.D for the Maker's Mark, 9 and .375 for the Gold Purity, the Anchor Mark for Birmingham Assay Office, the Date Letter d for 1903 and it has been electronically tested at a precious metal refinery to confirm the Gold Content. The Fob weighs 5.7g, measures 24mm wide including the Base Metal Pins x 22.5mm high x 8mm deep and the Stones measure 17.5mm wide x 20mm high. The Fob is being sold For Repair as the Gold Frame that would have attached to the Base Metal Pins and allowed it to spin is missing. There is lots of surface wear and small dents to the Gold and there is a little scratch and a few nibble chips to the piece of Carnelian. The box in the photos is for display purposes only and will not be sent out with the item.
