I got this for a Christmas present. I now cannot be without it. My day starts with a 6AM run, and in Spokane that means a lot of time in the dark. So, with my conventional head lamps that means lots of replacing of batteries.
Not with this bad boy. I charge it every couple of days and that does the trick. I probably have it turned on about 1.5 hours per day.
Its very bright, enough to light the wooded trails enough to avoid ankle injuries.
Reasonably fast to charge given how long the charge will last,

I recently lost the headlamp I use for trail running & this one has been a nice replacement. I live in AZ, so my day time hiking becomes very early morning hikes to avoid the heat. This has been very easy to use and wear on both my morning hikes & also late-night, street runs.

The Sprinter competes in a increasingly crowded field of "balanced" headlamps where the battery pack is separated from the bulb, but deserves your attention. Having used similary laid out Petzl Myo and BD Icon, I found the Sprinter to smaller and lighter, easier to use and adjust, and far more comfortable during all sorts of activities. For the safety conscious, turning on the headlamps also activates the build in tail lights. There is a trade off with being light and small, but they are fair: less brightness from the bulb and shorter battery life from the rechargeable, but for most of my nightly run/walk/gardening work in dimly lit residential sidewalks and trails, Sprinter is my go-to. The included USP charging cord is ridiculously short... but that's just nitpicking.

The lockout feature is so handy -- I've definitely had experiences where my headlamp battery has died because it got accidentally turned on in backpacks. I really appreciate the charging feature too, as it can be annoying to carry around batteries and try to dispose of them properly afterwards.
I wasn't sure what the top strap was for though. It says removable but if doesn't look too easy.
One thing to note: It needs to be charged before first use! I thought mine was faulty or couldn't figure out how to turn it on.
