Reviewed in the United States on February 6, 2024 This unit is better than I would have expected for the price. For my ancient 2010 Prius, I initially tested it by using the suction cup mount on my dash screen (don’t do this). The unit is able to connect with a phone, and then use the Bluetooth of the car for all audio/announcements/etc. For older cars without Bluetooth, there is an included 1/8” to 1/8” cable you can run to an iPod audio input (or something much older, like a cassette tape adapter with the input). OR, worst case you just use the speaker built in to the screen. It boots up within seconds, and then connects to the phone a few seconds later. The CarPlay interface is so much better than the expenssive built-in nav system my car has. I had been using my phone for Nav (I use the Waze app) on a air vent clip, but that has been replaced by this screen. The manual was missing from my box, but their support team sent me a PDF quickly. They really are not needed — the unit boots up to a screen telling you how to pair your phone with it, and even walks you through using Bluetooth audio. It works great! The only downside is trying to mount it. The suction cup on the screen does not work in my car without blocking my view. My car has some tint/texture patterns at the top and the suction cup won’t stick there. I’d have to mount it too low. THere is a second mount with double-sided tape for the dash. But, my car’s dash is curved so I don’t expect this mount to stay “stuck.” So far, so good, but I know it’s not really stuck since I was able to pull it up and move it a bit. I am impressed with the unit, and the service the seller provided. Reviewed in the United States on January 30, 2024 I’m very pleased to have an Apple car play device available in my car. I only wish mounting the device went better. Pros: -Apple Car play set up was easy and simple -My car has Bluetooth, and I’m able to connect both the CarPlay screen, as well as to my car’s speaker system. This allows me to use car play for GPS, but music through my car stereo, which is much preferred -The power cable is very long, which would accommodate many car set ups. My cigarette port happens to be right at my dashboard, so I have amble cable room to spare -The touch screen works decently.. not as good as a in-car screen, but well for the price -I turned my car on/off several times during installation. The device reconnected with my phone automatically each time, making for simple day to day use. Cons: -The mounting devices are clunky and not easy to take on/off. The plastic is hard and cheap feeling, and I was afraid I was going to crack the plastic every time I switched between both mounting options as I decided which I wanted to use. -The suction cup mount is only meant for the windshield. It would have been much nicer to have the suction cup option for the dashboard as well. -The dashboard mount is a fine option for my car configuration, however, the mounting plate arrived SIDEWAYS. As advertised, the mount is meant to sit parallel with the screen. Unfortunately, mine did not arrive in this manner and there is no way to fix it. Seems to be a manufacturing error? Or I would hope. Because this would be very strange otherwise. Orders are usually sent out the same or next day after receiving payment. |

Combined Shipping Update:

Returns Amended: The following additions will be added to returns. Any products that are misused causing it to become damaged or non functioning will not be accepted as a return.
