About Nakabayashi Chikkei:

Nakabayashi Chikkei, born in Kyoto, was the eldest son of Nakabayashi Chikudo and a student of Yamamoto Baiitsu. Known by various names such as Gakakyoshi and Gingorō, Chikkei was renowned for his detailed and realistic landscapes. At the age of 25, he opened his own studio in Kyoto, where he developed friendships with notable artists like Yoshida Kōkin and Hineno Taizan. Chikkei passed away in 1867 at the age of 52.
