Here we have a quite fabulous 19th Century watercolour attributed to Jozef Israëls 1824-1911. The painting depicts an interior scene with a man warming himself by a roaring fire. It is titled verso “At The Hearth”. The painting is signed lower right. A well constructed painting that would grace any wall in your home.

Provenance: This painting was acquired at a Fine Art Sale from Roseberys, London. It was displayed in the Ben Uri Gallery & Museum London. It was sold to raise funds for their charity foundation.
