You are purchasing one set of 40 new USA reproduction raw steel non-plated spokes for 16" drop center rims used from 1940 to 1972 big twin and 45 solo and Servicar models using 16" drop center rims.  According to my research material, these were used up through 1972 on big twins, possibly 1973 on Servicar front wheels.  It appears there was a "metric" spoke with a -40B part number introduced in 1973 according to one of my later catalogs.  Please double check your own reference material to make sure this is the correct spoke for you.

Note: Nipples measure .2835 on the shank, this may require you to over-drill your holes in your wheel or may not.  Please measure prior to ordering if you are not comfortable with that possibility. 

You get 40 spokes and 40 nipples with this purchase, enough to lace up one wheel.  Please check your reference material to make certain this is what you need.  The threads are "rolled" threads as original and are 6-8 gauge.  However, I never recommend trying to intermingle OEM and reproduction regardless of whatever claim is made about the threads on these.
