Cary Liebowitz/Candyass -- Scarf: "I LOVE WARHOL PISS PAINITNGS"

The scarf was given to me by Cary Leibowitz in 2004. I wore it -- very carefully just twice — and then carefully stored away for the past 20 years. The scarf is solely an art piece and should not be subjected to the rigors of everyday wearing. I don’t know if the material is wool or not (there are no tags). It is delicate material and was not intended for warmth. The heart and white lettering is stitched onto BOTH sides of the scarf (there is no plain back side to the scarf).

Cary has made other scarves as multiples – – and many other objects, including mugs (he and I did a joint mug project several decades ago). I cannot find this particular scarf anywhere on the internet, although he has made several paintings proclaiming his love of Andy Warhol’s piss paintings (which are actual paintings and quite beautiful)!
