Rare 2-stage dual concentric wire wound pot made by Mallory for University Speaker. Date Code of part is 25th week 1959. Stamped with part number "44B85". Pot has been cleaned with Deoxit. Also tested with ohm meter for continuity.
When testing between the "In-Out" lugs (Pot closest to the shaft stem) full clockwise rotation reads 1 ohm, full counter clockwise rotation reads 8 ohms.
When testing between the "Out-C" lugs (Pot positioned to the rear) full clockwise rotation reads infinite ohms, if you only rotate to 90% you will get a reading of 60 ohms, full counter clockwise rotation reads 1 ohm.
Near as I can tell this is the expected functionality of this pot. ready for your repair or restoration. One hex nut is on the shaft, no control plate or knob is included.
