Here we have a very rare and important authentic antique original unposted postcard published in 1908 by the WIENER WERKSTAETTE for the Procession in Honor of the Emperor's Jubilee (Kaiser Franz Josef), 16th Century, in Vienna in 1908. No. 166 in the series, with artwork by Remigius (Remi) Geyling (Austrian, Vienna 1878–1974) featuring Elisabeth (Empress Consort of Austria, Queen of Hungary, wife of Kaiser Franz Josef) and two of Elisabeth and Franz Josef's children. It is in excellent or better unposted antique condition.

A watermark with our user name has been applied to the photos only -- the actual postcard has no marks on it.

This postcard is from a set issued for the occasion, of which we have listed two more by Remi Geyling and four by Herbert von Zwickle. (See last two photos showing these two groups, but note that this listing is for the single postcard pictured in the rest of the photos.)

We have lots of fabulous postcards in our store, to which we add new inventory daily, and we're always happy to combine shipping at actual cost. When purchasing multiple items, please choose "ADD TO CART" instead of "buy now" and check-out from the cart when you are completely done shopping with us. If the eBay checkout fails to properly combine your orders or, as it is very apt to do, overcharges you for combined shipping, we will issue a refund for the difference between what you paid for shipping, and the actual cost of the shipping, on the day that we ship your package. (We don't find out the actual cost of combined shipping until we purchase the shipping label.)

Condition: Our photographs reveal the condition best and are the most important part of the description--please zoom in on them and examine them carefully. Very fresh and clean piece in overall excellent-plus or better antique condition, with the lightest possible edge and corner wear as shown in the photos. Any issues beyond that, if they exist, are highlighted in close-up photos. Nothing sticky or otherwise gross, and no funky odors. Lies nice and flat. Penciled-in collector's historical price note on back.

Rest assured that we will do all we can to ensure that your piece of ephemera arrives exactly as presented in our photos. We invest time and appropriate materials into shipping all of our ephemera, and we provide tracking on all shipments. All pieces are sent in rigid mailers or envelopes that are sandwiched between cardboard before being sent as first-class parcels in non-bendable mailers, which ship at rates much higher than first-class letters. We never toss our ephemera into thin stationery envelopes with forever stamps stuck to them expecting the USPS to deliver them to you with great care. And we ship everything fully insured.

We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report. Corndogcache is a 100% non-smoking environment, and we'll let you know if any of our vintage items smell like it (or anything else) from activities they may have been involved in before they came to us.

The Fine Print:

  • We expect payment within 1 day of purchase. If you're waiting for other auctions to end so that you can combine shipping, shoot us a message to let us know.
  • If you're unable to pay within terms, please reach out with your Plan B. Things happen. Especially these days. So just shoot us a message.
  • We don't accept buyer-remorse returns but we will grant you the use of our description and photos so that you can re-ebay the item yourself.
  • Although we don't accept buyer-remorse returns, reach out if you're unhappy with your purchase! If we messed up -- everybody does -- give us a chance to fix it. We promise it was unintentional, and we'll do what we can to make it right.
