Extremely Rare Ottoman Islam 19th Century 14K Gold Enamel Miniature Quran Book Charm Pendant Locket 🌙 Unmarked since the original bale is missing, but these were always made in 14K or 18K gold, and the book itself has been tested for 14K gold. Weighs approximately 1.6 grams. The Quran book is approximately 1.35 cm (8.4/16 of an inch) in height, and approximately 1.1 cm (6.8/16 of an inch) in width, and approximately 3.8 mm (2.3/16 of an inch) in thickness. These were made in various designs but this one is extremely rare perhaps even one of a kind since I have never seen another in which the reverse side is left blank, all the others I have seen have prophet Muhammad peace be upon him written there ! This one is blank ?! Also notice the Chinese decorative influence on the frontal portion due to the influence of the Silk Road ! The blank portion may have several different explanations, for instance prophet Muhammad never wanted any attention to himself but wanted all the glory focused on God, I heard that he even wanted to be buried in a secret location due to concerns that people might end up worshiping him. He considered himself to be the last prophet equivalent and not superior to any other prophet. The other possibility for why it was left blank is that it was created for a Christian or Jew since all worship God, ALLAH. The word in Arabic for God is Allah which proceeded the English word God which comes centuries later during the Viking conversion derived from their word for "good". As one notices the word ALLAH in Arabic resembles the human hand as clearly visible in the beautiful Arabic Ottoman calligraphy applied in this tiny little treasure of history. Will continue........ Feel free to check out my other Museum Quality Collection !
I hear a lot of people blaming religion for conflict and everything negative, so let me simply remind everyone that religion brought about writing which in turn brought about math and science. All religions are beautiful in their true form which brought about the Renaissance and Enlightenment in the west. In fact Martin Luther was heavily influenced and inspired by Islam and wanted Christianity to match in ethics and morality. The problem is human corruption which preceded all religions, humans have always done terrible things to each other since the beginning of time, and all religions if followed unhypocritically and sincerely bring about understanding peace and prosperity. No human is superior to any other human other than through character and proper conduct in the eyes of God.
