Purchased as a graduation from high school in 1968 in Hong Kong these are treasured piece of jewelry but I no longer wear jewelry like this so it would be wonderful if someone young could enjoy this beautiful piece of jewelry
It’s rare it’s authentic and it’s in its original box
****NOTE!! I have seen a lot of Mikimoto pearls posted that say they are double knotted. This normally means they are not vintage and they are not traditional or older pearls. Please refer to the images on the listing for the explanation!. The older vintage necklaces are NOT double knotted TO AVOID DISTRACTING FROM THE PEARLS! they are more valuable. Don’t believe everything you read on eBay.!
I worked for a very well-known Jewish jeweler (was also a close friend of my family) in the 60s and he authenticated all my jewelry and taught me a lot
These pearls are very feminine and have a slightly graduated size with the smallest one being a little over 5 mm and the largest 7 mm. Please note that I used pictures to match the pearls, and this is the best measurement to the best of my ability.
