For sale is a Commodore MAX Machine (MAX-04), bundled with the Mini BASIC cartridge. This is an extremely rare Japan-only Commodore system, primarily of interest to collectors and enthusiasts.

The console is fully functional and in overall good cosmetic condition, with visible signs of normal use such as light rubbing and wear. Please review the photos carefully to judge cosmetic condition for yourself.

  • Commodore MAX-04 console
  • Original power supply
  • Mini BASIC cartridge (label still has protective plastic film attached)
  • VIC-20 Paddle controller with original box and manual. Untested due to age; functionality not guaranteed. Included as an extra only.
  • The original MAX-04 manual and warranty paperwork
  • 3.5mm stereo to dual RCA cable for composite video/audio output (not pictured)
  • Original box (box is in poor condition; see photos)
This unit has been professionally modified to output composite video and audio via the original audio port. Composite video is carried on one channel of the included 3.5mm-to-RCA cable, with audio on the other channel. This modification allows easy connection to modern displays.
