This is one single bookend.. Sleeping Lion.  Hollywood Regency. It's fairly heavy. Beautifully crafted. It's  bronze with wood base. I'm not sure what type of wood.. perhaps cherry.  It appears to be a conova..but it's not marked anywhere. It's the perfect piece for an avid collector of bookends or paperweights.
