SPIRIT JAR Funirary Urn/ Funeral Urn 18th Mid 19th Century.

This is a beautiful piece of Chinese art and history.

They are referred to as spirit jars.

During the warning times many soldiers and people never made it home.

The spirit jars were made to reflect how that person lived and they were buried and there spirit was able to find his vessel base on it's making.

That is my understanding from the reading I have done.

This piece was privately authenticated and appraised by an expert in this field.

Thank you for looking.

The piece has broken pieces due to age but still displays beautifully.
