This is a trio set of a 7 1/2" plate, a saucer, and a 2 1/4" footed teacup made by Seltmann in the Eberthal line. The bottom says "Bavaria, Eberthal, Qualitats Porzella, Germany." Underneath that is stamped in gold "650 6."
Seltmann was around making this type of product in Germany from 1950-1970 so this would be from that time period.
Condition:
Teacup: No chips, very little wear to gold on rim (surprising), a tiny bit of wear on gold on the top of the handle (common with tea cups which have been handled.) Looks to be in very good vintage condition.
Saucer: No chips, no cracks, no wear to gold or coloring at all. Beautiful!
Plate: No chips, no cracks, no wear to gold or coloring. I can see a little circular shadow where the bottom of the saucer must've been stacked on the plate for display. This is not very noticeable unless you turn the plate around under light. It is so subtle I may not be able to get a photo of it but I will try. A good example of why you should ALWAYS stack china with felt between. Looks beautiful though and will look perfect under normal viewing conditions (not scrutinizing it for flaws as I am.)
This is a lovely Trio set. I have two additional ones, both in the same color palette I am listing as well. Let me know if you want to bundle!
I am located in Seattle--I know there are many listings from sellers in Canada, England, and Australia--places with a stronger tradition of elegant teas! You will get this fast and without international shipping fees!
