Remanufactured Ford 5R55S/W Valve Body, model years 2001-2008,
includes separator plate and upper and lower valve body gaskets. This Valve Body does not
include the Solenoid Block. Ford advises that you replace the
Solenoid Block whenever a transmission problem or failure occurs as a

To the educated buyer these claims are obviously fraudulent as the prices are too low for them to be remanufactured, let alone updated with Sonnax parts kits. We are an authorized Sonnax distributor and can assure you that you cannot purchase a remanufactured valve body for $100.00-200.00, with Sonnax kits installed. Costs are just too high to make that realistic. Granted a used part may last you 100,000 miles depending on it's previous use, or it may last you a month, you just don't know. If you are willing to spend $200.00, why not $230.00 or $330.00 for a part that is guaranteed to work?  In the above photo you can see a view of the bottom and top of the 5R55S/W Valve Body.  Beginning in 2009, changes were made to this valve body. One of the changes is the location of the Rough Forging number. The RED ARROW above shows the location of the Rough Forging Number in model years 2001-2008. The GREEN ARROW shows the location of the Rough Forging Number for model years 2009-UP.   One possible cause of a delayed reverse in this transmission can be a stuck Low/Reverse Servo Control Valve, which is located in the Low/Reverse Servo. The Low/Reverse Servo Control Valve controls oil flow to apply the Servo. When the Valve sticks, it cannot regulate and fills the Servo very slowly, causing the delay. Because the Valve and Spring

World Wide Specialty Parts warrants to the owner that it will repair or replace, at World Wide Specialty Parts option, each valve body remanufactured, when that valve body(s) is found to be defective in material or in factory workmanship, under normal use and service. The Warranty period shall extend for twelve (12) months from the date of sale. Defective or malfunctioning valve body(s) must be returned to World Wide Specialty Parts. All returns must be approved by World Wide Specialty Parts and clearly display the assigned return authorization number (R.A.) on the packaging. Returns must be accompanied with the purchaser’s copy of the original invoice to validate the date of purchase. The Warranty does not cover:
If we do not charge a core deposit, we just ask you use the prepaid core label to return your core if you do not want it. That way the next person who needs one will be able to get one. Thank you. When you receive your valve body there will be a plastic pouch on the top of the box. Inside this pouch is the packing slip and prepaid UPS Label for the core folded up together. Use this label and the box the new valve body comes in to ship your core back, just let the valve body drain and place it in a garbage bag before shipping please. Just stick the label on the box and drop it off at a UPS location and we will handle the rest. You have 90 days to return the core before things become complicated. After 90 days eBay and most credit card companies close the transaction and we can no longer process any refunds. We will accept cores after 90 days you will just have to contact us to arrange another way to receive the refund, through PayPal or another EFT processor. We have been short-staffed since Covid so core processing may take 4-6 weeks once your core is received. We are doing the best we can and we will get your core charge back to you, we just ask for your patience and understanding.
