I am delighted to offer for sale this cake (or serving) plate by Grosvenor (Jackson & Gosling).

This very decorative plate comes to you in very good condition. There are no chips, cracks, repairs or crazing, just the occasional mark which occurred during manufacture - common in these pieces. Please see the photos supplied. The pattern is intact and the gilding is in very good condition with only a little loss on the edges and tab handles. This rings well. You will not be disappointed.

Measures 9.75" x 8.5"

The plate is marked clearly to the base with the maker's mark and hand painted with the pattern reference 5713. I believe the mark dates this to the early 1920s. It is beautifully decorated in cobalt blue with lots of gilt decoration.
