1914 St. Cloud Civil War Grand Army of the Republic - Memorial Hall Share Certificate
The city of St. Cloud (town named for a 6th Century monk), was founded in 1909 by the Grand Army of the Republic
(G.A.R.) as a retirement home for Union Veterans of the American Civil War. The Memorial Hall was built in 1914, the same year as this low serial numbered (#215) certificate for 2 shares was first issued (which was transferred 10 years later, and then again in 1926).
Measures (with Counterfoil) approximately 13.5 x 8.5" / Mailed Flat along existing fold lines.
