George Weyman invented Copenhagen Snuff around 1822 & opened his store
Handmade in the United States, manufactured in Pittsburgh, PA
Pre-1870 when they changed the name to Weyman Bros.
In very good antique condition with no chips & smooth base
Small inside crack does not go through to the outside wall
Smooth, pleasing to look at, displays well
This crock is perfect, for example, for dry flower arrangements or a planter
Could hold an artist's array of brushes - Use your imagination!
Side note - Was found during the summer of 1971 in the yard of a long ago abandoned obscure farmhouse somewhere near Marshfield, WI
