THE JOY OF MARILYN is a limited run poster of Marilyn Monroe from after the original photograph by SAM SHAW. It was created in 1986 for the NYC gallery exhibition of Sam Shaw's photographs. Printed on high quality satin finish paper not a glossy, mass produced printing. Excellent condition, never been framed or mounted. Vertical image poster, portraying an artistic duotone black and white image of Marilyn Monroe, emerging from the sea wearing a white shirred maillot, enjoying a day at the beach in Amagansett - East Hampton Long Island NY.

Renowned photographer and film producer Sam Shaw (1912-1999) was a dear friend of Marilyn Monroe, who allowed Mr. Shaw to take many candid photos of her. Shaw's most memorable photo being the "blowing skirt" shot from the filming of THE SEVEN YEAR ITCH 1955.

Poster will be shipped carefully rolled in a heavy duty cardboard tube.
